Oceanicmood#6| From Indie Disco to The Greatest Relases of last week: Mount Kimbie, Disclosure and Gold Panda

Everybody is talking about Disco. «The Summer of Disco» or «Disco Gets Lucky» are just two examples of webzine titles (not even concerning exclusively music) from Vice to the Guardian.

As here at Oceanicmood we’ve always been focused on nu disco and indie-dance we are just in front of a little variations of our cup of tea. We don’t know if after the release of Daft Punk latest album, Disco will turn mainstream and we don’t care about it because we’ve always been interested in this warm and rich genre so nothing we’ll change for us. It’s nice that in the first part of this mix that as always contains some gorgeous tracks (in our humble opinion) from last period we find some reinterpretations by contemporary artists of the features of disco. We find the Indie Disco of FKJ, La Royale and Kaytranada  (in the pic) whose reworks, remixes and edits are charted by a lot of Djs-tastemakers and all in free download. We have a remix of nu disco killers Tiger&Woods, the Diskomiks of Prins Thomas one of the Scandinavian Triad which is bringing back Disco (Todd Terje & Lindstrøm the other two -by the way we will see them in a b2b at next Sonar Festival, uhhhuuuhhh, can’t wait) and a Chic Cover of Good Times by Social Disco Club. Then in the second part of the mix you will find some tracks from recent and very expected album releases (Mount Kimbie, Disclosure and Gold Panda, the last one present with a single -the album is out on the 11th June).
