Audio Texture Radio Show – April 1, 2013

New classical vibes kicked off this weeks show starting off with a taste of the Buddha Machine inventor’s new album Fistful of Buddha and then ably followed by a track from the live recordings of Jaga Jazzist’s concert with the Britten Sinfonia. Springintgut then provided another cultured tune from their fantastic and highly recommended, Where We Need No Map, album which is about to drop on the consistently great Pingipung label. The Herbertesque vibes of Jonatan Backelie then seemed like the sensible follow up and is a deep electronic grower. Read more…

Audio Texture Radio Show – February 18, 2013

Electronic soul started this weeks show with the voiceless, late night vibes from the forthcoming Simple EP on Apollo before Lapalux and Kaytranda threw down some lovely vocals over deeper than deep beats. Sweatson Klank then turned the airwaves blue with the single from his forthcoming EP on Project Mooncircle before Teleseen dropped the deep, underground tropical flavour from his new LP due out soon on 100% Silk which has been on repeat recently. Next up was the return of a little Portico Quartet/SBTRK action  before Nosaj Thing ably demonstrated, as did DJ Rashad last week that just because a song is 160BPM doesn’t mean it can’t have soul. De Yoggyone a Emanuele de Raymondi esta semana en Audio Texture

So quite the mellow selection this week kicking off with the killer title track from the thoughtful new Yoggyone album which we like a lot. Sunday morning listening was then the order of the day first with a bit of Ky, whose new album floats and swirls around you in a dreamy, jazz sort of way. Matthew Halsall then kept up the mellow jazz vibes with the title track from his incredible new album which was on repeat most of last week. Brazilian pysche business then ensued courtesy of a brilliant Mr. Bongo reissue of the Flaviola E O Bando Do Sol, back in the day, rarity – good digging.
