Another week, too much to do and not enough time so here is the unlinked tracklisting.

Another deep jazz cut from Yatha Bhuta Jazz Combo then stirred the show from its slumber and paved the way fro Titts‘ chopped and screwed bassline vibes, which led nicely into some submerged soul from Actress, closely followed by quality beats from Barcelona based Fitzroy North, snagged from his soon to come EP on Tiburoni.

So the radio show is back for 2014 after a bit of a hard drive meltdown near the end of last year and just the fact that, well, sometimes a  break is sometimes welcome. The show kicked off on a nice jazz tip with a killer version of The Jackson Sisters’ «I Believe in Miracles» […]

So all about the jazz to kick off the show with the fierce sounds of Jaimeo Brown closely followed by the sweeter tones of rising vocal star Zara McFarlane with some help from Leron Thomas which bodes very well for her forthcoming album on Brownswood.

Trippy soul from New Zealand kicked off this weeks proceedings with the quirky delights of Connan Mockasin before the leftfield soul vibes of Jitwam ran nicely into the post punk funk of The Jellies.

A mixed bag this week both stylistically and tempo wise and that’s the way it should be really. F.S. Blumm kicked the show off in pastoral style with a taste of his lovely new album about to drop on one of our favourite labels, Pingipung.

Torus – Backyard (Sonic Router promo) Ancient Astronauts – Robots Are Taking Over (Switchstance) Laurel Halo – Dr. Echt (Hyperdub) Kid606 – Cloud Sculpting (Tigerbeat6 promo) Mount Kimbie – You Took Your Time, Kyle MF Hall DVO Dub (Warp) Rumpistol – Asleep (Rump Recordings promo) Exercise One – Verlooka (Exone promo) Palms Trax – Equation […]

A nice soulful selection in a roundabout sort of way this week, a week when Boards of Canada have been releasing their back catalogue for all those slow on the draw the first time around. The new Om Unit album on Civil Music is a pleasant surprise with it’s pleasing musicality and some nice vocal […]

No time for waffle or links this week, just the tracklisting…

So the Forgotten Bird‘s album, «Sahara» is finally out and it’s a lovely thing as this weeks opening track, «Windmills Of Your Mind» clearly shows, do yourself a favour and go and buy it to soundtrack those quieter moments in your life.

So it’s mostly about the beats this week followed by some house mutations but kicking off with Four Tet‘s radical reinterpretation of Jimi Hendrix’s «Castles Made Of Sand» which led nicely to a little Eat Concrete Records love fest.

Quite an experimental, cosmic sort of vibe going on this week kicking off in lovely melodic style though with Noveller‘s «Bright Clouds Bloom» which led right into the submerged jazz beats of Ahnnu before Submerse waded in with some fine instellar beats from his new Project Mooncircle release.

A hazy, laid back selection this week kicking off with long time show favourite, Jono McCleery and his new single «Ballade» closely followed by Demian from the great new Wondercore Island mixtape showcasing a whole host of varied talent from down under.

Milo Mills launched this weeks show with the atmospheric, instellar vibes of «Rocky» which led nicely into the «Lunar Dub» from Dr. Zygote‘s nice new EP of cinematic beats on Black Acre.

A largely leftfield electronic selection this week kicking off with more Shigeto because, quite frankly, you can’t have too much of Shigeto‘s new album which is on the headphones and on repeat.

So the show is back again after a little Easter sojourn to places more relaxing , where the batteries have been recharged ready for the Autumn workload and release schedule madness.

Nice warm summer vibes in this weeks show on the whole with a taste of Kasket‘s forthcoming EP of jazz beats on Apollo setting the tone, closely followed by some classic jazz from Henry Franklin which has been given a new lease of life and publicity courtesy of the new Snowdog, Black Jazz reissue mission.

So this weeks show veered towards the dark side this week with a few rays of musical sunshine throne in for good measure with Paul White kicking things off with a further taste of his new Watch The Ants EP which should be due sometime very soon. The aptly named Heat Wave then ably displayed […]

All over the shop this week kicking off with East of England based Hoofus and a taste of his peculiar musical madness closely followed by Jameszoo and his chopped, twisted and then retwisted blend of jazz and MPC prowess. Myron & E then provided the traditional soul vibes from their great new album on Stonesthrow […]

A quite unrepentently electonic affair this week apart from the lovely folk opening courtesy of Grey Reverend, a little taste of his new material due later in the year. Ken Camden then sent us on a sprawling electronic space odyssey and gave the world a taster of his forthcoming release on Kranky, which we will […]
