CdV P075 Deadbeat and Paul St Hilaire special

Canadian producer Scott Monteith has long been one of the best dub and dub techno producers and Paul St Hilaire (aka the artist formerly known as Tikiman) is a living legend amongst reggae vocalists. It could only be a matter of time before they came together. Thankfully their short, first collaboration on Deadbeat’s 2008 album “Roots and wires” album was only a taster for their current project which has produced a whole album “The infinity dub sessions”, several singles and now a live show that will be one of the many highlights of the 2014 edition of Mutek festival in Barcelona. This week we feature some of the highlights of their collaboration as well as some of their recent, classic and rare solo material in preparation of the festival.

El productor canadiense Scott Monteith ha sido durante mucho tiempo uno de los mejores productores de dub y dub techno y Paul St Hilaire (también conocido antes como el artista Tikiman) es una leyenda viva entre los cantantes de reggae. Sólo podía ser una cuestión de tiempo antes que se juntasen. Afortunadamente su corta, primera colaboración en 2008 en el álbum «Roots and wires» de Deadbeat fue sólo una pequeña muestra de su proyecto actual, que ha producido un álbum entero «The Infinity dub sessions», varios singles y ahora un show en vivo que será uno de los muchos aspectos más destacados de la edición 2014 de Mutek festival en Barcelona. Esta semana presentamos algunos de los mejores momentos de su colaboración, así como parte de su material solista reciente, clásico y raro en preparación para el festival.
