Gracias a su devoción por el ritmo, Nickodemus siempre sale de Barcelona hacia NYC con las maletas llenas de grandes canciones inéditas grabadas por amigos y miembros de la familia de Turntable On Las Ramblas, su fiesta mensual en la capital catalana. Este viernes 19 de abril podrás verlo en el Club Ocaña de Barcelona. Nosotros te invitamos a verlo. Sorteamos dos entradas dobles!!! Porque como sus fiestas y recopilatorios Turntable on the Hudson de Nueva York, el ambiente de las veladas en Barcelona es esta mezcla sonora que lo caracteriza, llena de sonidos latinos, funk, house y global grooves, que a su vez refleja la diversidad demográfica y sonora de la ciudad condal.
De aquí nace el nuevo recopilatorio Turntable On Las Ramblas. Con algunos momentos destacados como la bomba de funk colombiana «Palenque Barcelona» del colectivo Los Chicos Altos (Alemania / USA / Barcelona) vs. Palo Q’Sea, la contagiosa remezcla en clave hip hop por el ex vecino de Barcelona Dj Vadim del «Fly Away» de Mariella, la mejor canción del nuevo álbum de Novalima «Macaco«, el pegajoso y contundente «Toca Flute» de Carlos Barbosa & BlasterJaxx remezclado en clave moombahton por el pionero del género DJ Sabo y la reinterpretación del propio Nickodemus de la cumbia-dub de Flowering Inferno (a.k.a. Quantic).
Pero aquí no acaba todo: la remezcla nu-disco y electro-balcánica del dj de House de NYC Sid Huelga firmada por el productor y DJ valenciano Oscar Baril, los colaboradores de Turntable on the Hudson como Sujinho, el productor y Dj de Nueva York y mitad del equipo Nossa reinventando el tema caló de Nickodemus, «Los Tarantos «, la canción hip house del venezolano vecino de Barcelona Pablo Sanchez con la voz del rapero de Brooklyn iLLspokinN, el barcelonés brasileño Wagner Pa con su clásica samba «Na Estrada» y la joya final de las súper estrellas catalanas La Troba Kung-Fú con «Barcelona» remezclada por Toti & AndyLoop. El diseño gráfico del disco es del agitador cultural de Barcelona AndyLoop, que aparte de exportar esta mezcla de electrónica fusionada con la música local para clubes de medio mundo, es autor junto a Toti Arimany (La Troba Kung-Fú) y Maxey de alguna de las producciones más exitosas nacidas en Barcelona y publicadas en los sellos Wonderwheel y Turntable.
