Esta semana nos visita Robyn Hitchcock, candidato claro a monográfico SingSwanSongero. Aprovechando que está en gira, podréis encontrar a continuación un imperfecto resumen de su trayectoría con The Soft Boys y en solitario.

Para los no iniciados, Robyn Hitchcock fue el cantante y guitarra de The Soft Boys, grupo inglés surgido en 1.976 que mezcló sabiamente el librillo caleidoscópico de Syd Barrett con las enseñanzas del Punk, que explosionó a su alrededor a la que The Soft Boys empezaban a grabar.

La historia de The Soft Boys acabó (aunque mas tarde volverian) en 1.980. A partir de aquí Robyn Hitchcock inició una larga y muy prolífica carrera en solitario que ya ha pasado la veintena de LPs.

Actualmente toca con The Venus Three, su banda de acompañamiento, que incluye a Peter Buck (R.E.M.) y a Scott Mc Caughey (Young Fresh Fellows, The Minus 5)
