So the Forgotten Bird‘s album, «Sahara» is finally out and it’s a lovely thing as this weeks opening track, «Windmills Of Your Mind» clearly shows, do yourself a favour and go and buy it to soundtrack those quieter moments in your life.

Quite an experimental, cosmic sort of vibe going on this week kicking off in lovely melodic style though with Noveller‘s «Bright Clouds Bloom» which led right into the submerged jazz beats of Ahnnu before Submerse waded in with some fine instellar beats from his new Project Mooncircle release.

A hazy, laid back selection this week kicking off with long time show favourite, Jono McCleery and his new single «Ballade» closely followed by Demian from the great new Wondercore Island mixtape showcasing a whole host of varied talent from down under.

A largely leftfield electronic selection this week kicking off with more Shigeto because, quite frankly, you can’t have too much of Shigeto‘s new album which is on the headphones and on repeat.

So the show is back again after a little Easter sojourn to places more relaxing , where the batteries have been recharged ready for the Autumn workload and release schedule madness.

Nice warm summer vibes in this weeks show on the whole with a taste of Kasket‘s forthcoming EP of jazz beats on Apollo setting the tone, closely followed by some classic jazz from Henry Franklin which has been given a new lease of life and publicity courtesy of the new Snowdog, Black Jazz reissue mission.

All over the shop this week kicking off with East of England based Hoofus and a taste of his peculiar musical madness closely followed by Jameszoo and his chopped, twisted and then retwisted blend of jazz and MPC prowess. Myron & E then provided the traditional soul vibes from their great new album on Stonesthrow […]

So back from the holiday and back into musical action once more kicking off this week with some of that new/old soul business belted out by the powerful voice of Marta Ren. Debruit then laid down the summer hip hop vibes recorded with Shamon Cassette whilst he was in New York, which led nicely into […]

I’m not going to write much this week as I’m officially on holiday exploring, then laying on, the quietest beaches in the north of Ibiza I can find with the help of my nice girlfriend and little hairy dog. So far so good we’re all totally chilled and enjoying life and I’m even getting some […]

An interesting show this week if only from the perspective that 5 of the tracks are all sitting around the web just waiting to be downloaded for free, the first example of which is the show’s opening track from 18 year old Danish talent Bwoy De Bhajan, one to watch for sure. A taste of […]

So a show of two halves again with musical electronica (for want of a better description) kicking things off and the deeper, leftfield side of house with a bit of disco and Afro finishing things off. Nancy Elizabeth got things rolling with our favourite track from her new album on the, always intriguing, Leaf Label and […]

A nice deep selection this week kicking off with a track from the lovely new Saltland album on the, always worth checking, Constellation label. We then couldn’t resist dropping another track from the impeccably selected If Music/Ninja tune Record Store Day compilation and a great little introduction to the work of Henri Texier who we […]

A show of two halves today, downtempo, soulful beats and bobs to start before the bassline and twisted house kicked in to shatter the quiet. Starting this weeks show was a track from the wonderful new project from Peter Wraight, arranger for the Matthew Herbert big band and his new project The Webster Wraight Ensemble […]
